| Being European born but brought up in Australia, I would describe myself as an Aussie with a hint of European flavour! I am a fairly quiet person, happy for someone else to be the centre of attention. I enjoy the usual activities such as dining out, movies (love foreign films!), reading, listening to music, especially old favourites from the 70's while I am whipping up a curry on a Sunday afternoon. From an early age I was encouraged to travel the world and that is my favourite past-time. My first big o/s trip was the 4 week ConTiki tour through Europe!!! Since then I have been to such diverse places such as India, Alaska, Mongolia, South America and Nepal. There are still so many places that grab my imagination - Central America, Zanzibar (just because I love the sound of the name!), and I'd like to revisit some of the countries I have already been to and delve deeper. I love exploring and have a real curiosity to see what's out there - the history, culture, beautiful scenery, different architecture and lifestyles that travelling provides. My tastes have become less and less mainstream in so many areas and I am looking forward to being my own person without the constraints of society/convention/what's expected of me. (I think there's a hippy spirit somewhere in my psyche!) That's not to say that I am not happy with my current lifestyle. I have a great job and a lovely home close to the city but still quiet and peaceful, and a great family. I'd like to meet a man who is happy with where he is at in life and what he has achieved so far but like me, is ready to move into the next chapter. I'd like to share mutual interests and values but also respect each other's individuality and accept both the good and not so good bits in each other. |
